Our office is over at Angur Bhawan, right by the Riverside Hostel More. If you are in Burnpur, you probably know the spot. It is a busy area in the Burdwan district. We handle a lot of cement orders here. The building isn't brand new, but it works for what we need. There is usually a bit of dust because of the nature of the work. People come in to talk about loads and delivery schedules all day. We have some old desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. It gets quite hot in West Bengal during the summer months, so we keep the windows open for whatever breeze comes from the river side. Dealing with cement means we are always busy with logistics. Most of our guys have been here for years. They know the roads around Burnpur like the back of their hands. It's not a flashy office with carpets or anything. Just concrete floors and sturdy tables. We try to keep things moving so the trucks don't get backed up. You can find us easily enough if you follow the road past the hostel. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun. We spend most of the morning on the phone or checking the stock in the back. It’s just regular work for us, day in and day out.
