Srj Hotels Private Limited operates out of Cb-6/A in Desh Bandhu Nagar. We’re at LP-11/7, which is a spot we’ve called home for a good while. The neighborhood in Kolkata-700059 is typical for West Bengal—busy, a little loud, and full of people going about their business. Our office is tucked away and isn't very large. We handle various hotel tasks from here. It’s a lot of logistics and talking to staff at different locations. There’s always someone coming in or out with a delivery or a question. We have an old wooden table that everyone sits around to discuss what needs to be done. It’s not a corporate boardroom, just a place to put our tea cups. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. We just do the work. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a problem at one of the properties, but mostly we try to keep regular hours. The walls have some old calendars hanging on them. We like being in Desh Bandhu Nagar because everything we need is close by. It’s a simple setup. We don't try to sound bigger than we are. It’s just us trying to keep the hotel business running without too many hiccups. We know the local shopkeepers and they know us. It’s a community vibe here, and we just fit into the daily rhythm of the street. We’re usually here until the sun goes down, just sorting things out and planning for tomorrow.
