Sri Sankaranandanath Tirthanath Seva Foundation

Our place is on Baburam Ghosh Road, specifically in Flat A114 at LP 23/7. It is a busy street and there is always something going on outside. We started this foundation because we wanted a space where local people could come when they needed a hand. It is just a regular flat, so it doesn't feel like a cold office. You come in and sit down, maybe have some water. We spend our days answering questions and helping folks with their daily struggles. Some people come for spiritual reasons and others just because they are lonely or need advice on a personal matter. We don't have any fancy brochures or a front desk. It is just us in the room. Baburam Ghosh Road has changed a lot over the years, but we have stayed right here in A114. We try to keep things simple. If someone is sick or needs help with a meal, we see what we can do. It is not a huge operation with lots of funding. We just manage with what we have from day to day. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the hallway, but nobody really minds because the neighbors are friendly. We are just part of the neighborhood fabric. Most of the people who come by are regulars who live just a few minutes away. It is a quiet kind of work.
