Sreema Engineering Works (P) Ltd.

We have been located at 148/1A, Ultadanga Main Road for quite a while now. Most days you’ll just find the sound of machines running and people dropping by to check if their orders are ready. It gets pretty noisy and busy around this part of the road, but that is just the way things are here. We handle various engineering jobs, mostly fixing stuff or making small parts that people need for their own business or home projects. It is definitely not a fancy place. There is usually some grease on the floor and tools are scattered on the workbenches because we actually do the work right here. My father started this shop years ago and now we just keep it running day by day. Sometimes the power cuts out or a delivery gets stuck in the heavy traffic, but we always manage. Local people know where to find us when they have something broken or need a specific piece of iron or steel. We do not spend money on advertising. Most work comes from neighbors or folks who have been coming to see us for years. It is a simple setup with a couple of lathes and welding gear. We try to get things done when we say, though sometimes a tricky job takes longer. If you walk down Ultadanga Main Road, you can hear us before you see us. It is loud and dusty, but it is honest work. We don’t have a big office, just a small desk for the bills. That is Sreema Engineering Works.
