Our office is situated at 2/7C in Vidyasagar Colony, Kolkata. It’s a quiet residential part of the city, which is actually quite nice for focusing on the engineering work we do. Being part of Mcnally Bharat Engineering, we handle a fair amount of technical planning and coordination from this specific location. The office isn't very large, just a few rooms that we’ve converted into a functional workspace. It feels very much like a part of the local neighborhood rather than a business district. You won't find any corporate art or sleek reception areas here. We have our files, our computers, and we drink a lot of tea to stay focused. We spend most of our time going over project specs and making sure everything is in order. It’s the kind of place where you can hear the neighborhood life outside—kids playing or people talking—while you’re working on a complex engineering calculation. We aren't trying to be something we’re not; we’re just a group of people doing engineering work in a way that makes sense for us. The team is pretty close-knit since we’re in such a small space every day. We just show up every morning, deal with whatever project issues have come up, and try to make sure we’re doing a good job. It’s practical, everyday work without any of the fancy corporate talk or polished images you see in other places. We just focus on the drawings and get them done.
