You can find Mcnally Bharat Engineering Company Limited on the third floor of Chaiti Apartment. We're situated in Anandapuri, right on Central Road in Barrackpore. It’s a bit of a climb up to the third floor if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. The office overlooks the busy street below. Being in Calcutta, or Kolkata as many call it now, things are always moving fast. We do engineering work here, mostly focused on the technical side of the business. It’s a cozy space, packed with desks and drawing boards. The walls are covered with old calendars and project schedules. We’ve been in this part of Barrackpore for a while, and the neighborhood has its own rhythm. There’s a tea stall nearby that we frequent when things get stressful. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a place where we sit down and figure out how to build things. Sometimes the noise from Central Road comes right through the windows, but you get used to it after a week. It feels like a real workspace, not one of those sterile corporate offices. We have our routine, starting early and staying until the work is finished. It’s honest work. We deal with various engineering challenges and try to sort them out one by one. Life at Chaiti Apartment is pretty simple, and that suits us just fine. There is always someone coming or going with a set of plans.
