Spone Foundation

We are over at FR3079 on the first floor of Raj danga Main Road. It is a pretty busy part of Kolkata, so there is always something going on outside the windows. Spone Foundation is a small team. We are not a big corporate entity with a lobby and security. It is just a regular office space where we get together to work on various projects. We do not have a single focus; we just try to help out where there is a gap in the community. Sometimes the office is a bit of a mess with flyers and files stacked up on the floor. We do not really mind, as long as the work gets done. Most of us have other jobs or things going on, so we spend our evenings or weekends here. We are not looking to grow into a massive organization. We like being small and local. Being on Raj danga Main Road means we are close to everything, which helps when we need to go out and meet people. We do not have a fancy mission statement on the wall. We just have a calendar and a list of things to do. It is practical and a bit chaotic at times, but it is how we operate. We have been here for a while now and the locals know where to find us if they need a hand with something. We do not have many employees.
