We’re over at 142/8 Bishalaxmitala Road. It’s a part of Kolkata where you can hear the street noise all day long. Skc Business Consultancy Private Limited isn't a huge place, just a few of us dealing with different business matters for people who need a bit of help. Mostly we sit at our desks and handle the forms and questions that come in through the post or over the phone. The office isn't anything fancy to look at, just a practical space where we can get the work done without much fuss or distraction. Some days it gets pretty hot in here, especially when the fans aren't enough to move the air around, but we manage somehow. You know how it is in this part of town, there's always something going on outside the window. We spend a lot of time looking at files and trying to stay organized. It’s mostly just the regular stuff businesses need help with, nothing too complicated but it takes a lot of time to get everything right. We’ve been at this address for a while now, so the local neighbors and shopkeepers all know us. Sometimes we grab a quick tea from the stall down the road when we need a break from the computer screens. It’s a lot of reading through papers and making sure things are filed where they should be. We don't really do the big corporate speeches here. We just come in, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down.
