You can find us at Sudha Kunja, which is right at the spot known as Turning Point in the Ghoshpara area. Keshtopur is a very crowded and busy part of Kolkata, so being right at the turning point makes us a little bit easier for people to locate. We coordinate a network of home tutors from this office. It is not like a traditional school where all the students come to sit in a classroom for hours. Instead, we spend our time helping parents find tutors who can actually go to the students' houses for private lessons. Our office here is just a small spot where we keep all our records and meet with people who are looking for some extra educational help. There are paper files and notebooks everywhere you look. We spend a huge amount of our time on the phone talking to parents and different teachers. It is a lot of work matching up schedules and seeing who is available for which subject on which day. The building itself, Sudha Kunja, is a very familiar name to the people living around here. We have stayed in this neighborhood because it is quite central for many of the families we work with. It is a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it is not too bad once you know the way. We know the local rickshaw pullers and most of the shopkeepers nearby. The whole atmosphere is very local and grounded. We do not have a big corporate team or anything like that, just a few of us making phone calls and writing down addresses in our logs. It is honest work. We try our best to keep track of everyone, even when it gets a bit hectic with all the different requests coming in at once. That is just part of managing home tutors in a city as big as this one.
