This part of Kolkata has so much history, and we’ve been a small part of the construction landscape for quite a while. We mainly deal with the heavy stuff—foundations and concrete piling. Sometimes the humidity in the office gets a bit much during the rainy season, but we just turn the fans up and keep working. We talk to engineers and site managers all day. There’s a lot of technical talk, but we try to keep things grounded. We’ve seen the city change quite a bit from our windows. New towers going up where old houses used to be. It’s a lot of responsibility, making sure a foundation is solid. We don’t do big ads. Our work speaks for itself, and usually, that’s enough for the people we work with. It’s a steady, no-nonsense business.
