Sidhu-Kanhu Micro Foundation

We are based out in Deuria, near P.O. Karkhaps. The Sidhu-Kanhu Micro Foundation runs from a place C/O Dilip Murmu. It’s a small operation, really. We are tucked away in a part of the country where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We do micro-level work, which mostly means we deal with very small things that make a difference to the families living right here. It’s not a big banking office with glass walls. It is more like a home office where you might get offered a cup of water or tea while we look over some documents. The name comes from our local heroes, and we try to keep that spirit in mind while we work. Dilip keeps things organized, or at least as organized as they can be when you have people dropping by at all hours of the day. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media person. Our reputation is just what people say about us at the market or after prayer. Sometimes we run out of stationary and someone has to bike down to the next village to get more. It’s a bit informal, maybe, but it works for the people around Deuria. We just want to make sure the folks here have a little more than they did yesterday. It’s basic, everyday work for us and we like it.
