Shalimar Hotel

You can find us at 3 S N Banerjee Road, right in the heart of Dharmatala. It’s a very old part of Kolkata, and our building has seen better days, but it’s home to us. We run a simple hotel and eatery here. The streets outside are always packed with people, buses, and taxis, so it never really gets quiet. Inside, we try to keep things as comfortable as possible for whoever walks through the door. We don’t have those fancy computer systems for check-ins; we still do a lot of things the old-fashioned way. The food we serve is just regular local fare that fills you up. We don't have a big team of waiters in uniforms, just a few guys who have been here for years. Sometimes the fans creak, and the windows rattle when a big truck goes by, but that's just part of being in this neighborhood. We don’t promise anything grand, just a place to sit or stay that doesn’t cost a fortune. It’s a family-run kind of place, and we do most of the maintenance ourselves. We’ve seen the city change so much from our doorstep, yet we’re still here doing the same thing every day. It’s a basic, honest spot for anyone passing through 700013. We just keep the lights on and the rooms ready for whoever arrives from the street outside at any hour.
