SERA PEST MANAGEMENT PRIVATE LIMITED

Working at 264 Dum Dum Park is a bit different because we aren't just sitting in an office all day. Since this is SERA PEST MANAGEMENT PRIVATE LIMITED, we are often out and about dealing with whatever bugs or rats people are finding in their houses. The flat is on the 4th floor, Flat-4A to be exact. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is being finicky, which happens sometimes in these older buildings in West Bengal. Inside, we keep the equipment and the sprays we need for the jobs. You can usually smell a bit of the chemicals if you step inside the door. We spend a lot of time on the phone taking calls from people who are stressed about ants in their kitchen or something like that. Kolkata has a lot of that, especially when it rains. The office part is mostly for keeping the schedules straight and making sure we don't forget an appointment. It gets busy during the summer months. We have our maps and our notebooks scattered around the desks. It’s not the most glamorous job, but someone has to do it. Being in Dum Dum Park is nice because there are good places to grab a quick snack between house calls. We just keep the wheels turning, one day at a time, trying to keep up with the work coming in from all over the city and helping neighbors out.
