Sehwa Philanthropic Foundation

You can find the Sehwa Philanthropic Foundation over at Plot 48 in Sector A. We are part of the Metropolitan Co-Op Housing Society Ltd on Canal South Road in Kolkata. It is a bit of a trek from the main city center, but it is a nice area once you get here. The 700105 zip code covers this part of the city which stays fairly busy throughout the day. Our office isn’t anything too special to look at from the outside, just a standard plot in the society. Inside, we have got a few rooms where we keep everything organized. Kolkata heat can be tough, so we spend a lot of time near the fans while we go through our files. The Canal South Road has its share of traffic, but once you turn into the housing society, it gets much quieter. We see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. There is a sense of community around here that you do not always get in the middle of town. We do not go in for fancy decor or expensive office supplies. It is mostly just us, some sturdy tables, and a lot of work to get through. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to get around the society roads, but we stay put and keep working. It is a practical space for what we do, and we have been here long enough that the place feels right to us.
