Our little office is located over at Dipankar Samanta’s place in Krishnanagar, which is part of Midnapore. It’s not a formal building you might see in a big city, but it works for what we need to do. We spend most of our time dealing with local issues and trying to help folks around the area get by. Being in Midnapore, you see a lot of different things every day. Some days are slow and we just sit around talking about what needs to be done next. Other days, it’s a total scramble and everyone is running around. We don't really have a set routine, which keeps things interesting I guess. Dipankar is usually around if anyone has questions. We aren't trying to be some huge organization that nobody can talk to. We are just here, on the ground, doing the basic stuff that helps people. It is simple work, mostly. We don't use big words or have fancy meetings. If someone has a problem, they come by and we see if we can figure it out together. That’s just how things go in Krishnanagar. It feels more like a community project than a real business, which is how we like it to stay. It keeps things honest and keeps us close to the people we are actually trying to help every single day without any extra fuss.
