SCAVO STEEL PRIVATE LIMITED

Our office for SCAVO STEEL is on the 6th floor of Avani Signature at 91A/1, Park Street. Park Street is a famous spot in Kolkata, known for its restaurants and shops, but we are here for the steel business. It’s a bit of a contrast to have an industrial company in such a polished building. We spend our time looking at blueprints and talking to construction managers. Even though we are in a nice building, we still have that gritty steel mindset. We have to deal with the logistics of moving heavy metal through city traffic, which is never easy. Our office has big windows, but we usually have the blinds drawn to keep the sun off our monitors. It’s a lot of staring at spreadsheets and coordinating with the yards. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. We are a dedicated team that knows the ins and outs of the trade. We have lunch at the local spots when we have time, but often we just eat while we work. The phone starts ringing early and doesn't really stop until late. We’ve learned to deal with the pressure of deadlines. We don't use fancy words or try to impress anyone. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized in the middle of all the chaos. It’s a practical way to run a business.
