Our office is located at 70, U.B. Colony in Kolkata. It’s a bit of a distance from the city center, which makes it a quieter place to work than you’d expect for a name like Sarovar Portico. We are in West Bengal, specifically the 700108 area, and it’s a typical residential colony vibe here. The building is just a regular structure on a street lined with similar houses and a few shops. We don't have any big grand entrance or anything like that. It’s just a door and a small office inside where we handle things. We spend most of our time on the phones or dealing with the administrative side of the business. The colony has a lot of old trees, which is nice when it gets humid and sticky in the summer months. Sometimes the local dogs get a bit loud outside when a stranger walks by, but usually, it’s just the quiet sound of the neighborhood. We have a small staff here, and we’ve all been together for quite some time now. We aren’t really a hotel at this specific address; it’s more where the background work and the planning happen. We drink a lot of coffee and try to keep the paperwork from taking over our desks entirely. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day. We don’t go for anything fancy or polished. It’s just a workspace in a colony where we get our tasks done and then go home to our families.
