Samsid Foundation

Samsid Foundation is located at 23/34 Gariahat Road. If you know the area, you know it’s always busy and loud with cars and people shopping. Our office is right in the middle of all that chaos. It’s an old building, but it has character. We’ve been here for a while, and the walls are covered with notes and calendars. We aren't a big operation with a lobby or a secretary. Usually, you just walk in and one of us is sitting at a desk covered in papers. We spend a lot of time just talking to people who walk in off the street. Gariahat is the kind of place where everyone is always moving, so we try to be a steady spot for anyone who needs us. It can get pretty hot in the summer since the building is old, but we have a couple of fans going. We don't have any fancy statements or things like that. We just do the work that comes our way every day. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall downstairs and talk about what needs to be done next. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We know the shopkeepers nearby and they know us. It’s just us doing our thing in this corner of the city. If you’re walking down Gariahat Road, you might miss our door if you aren't looking, but we're here every day getting on with things the best we can.
