Our office is located in the Godrej Water Side building which is a big glass tower in Sector V. We are on the second floor in units 201 and 202. This part of Kolkata, specifically Plot-2 Block DP, is full of offices and IT buildings, so it gets very busy during the week. You see people everywhere with their ID badges and laptop bags. Working in Tower-1 means we deal with the usual office stuff every day. The elevators take a while during lunch hours, so we mostly just stay at our desks or go to the nearby food stalls. It is a formal environment because of the building, but inside our specific office, we just focus on the paperwork and management tasks we have to do. There is a lot of glass and air conditioning, which is different from the older parts of the city. Sometimes it feels a bit cold, but it keeps the computers running well. We have several departments working together in these two office spaces. It is mostly just computers, files, and phones ringing throughout the day. Getting here is easy if you know the Salt Lake area, though the traffic near the bridge can be a headache in the evenings. We just keep our heads down and handle the hotel and entertainment business side of things from this central location. It is a lot of spreadsheets and phone calls, but we get through the pile of work eventually and go home.
