Ronisha Tution

Ronisha Tution is right on Beadon Street in the 700006 area of Kolkata. We are very close to Bethune College, which is a big name around here. Because of the college, the whole street is always full of students and booksellers. It is a very historic part of the city with those old, tall buildings and narrow balconies. Our place is inside one of those older buildings. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, so you have to be careful when you are coming up. Once you are inside, it is a bit quieter than the street, but you can still hear the trams and the buses going by. We have a few rooms set up for the students with long tables and plastic chairs. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when everyone shows up at once, but we make it work. The walls are covered with notes and schedules. We do not have air conditioning, so we just keep the windows open and hope for a breeze from the street. It is a very traditional tuition setup. We have been here for a good amount of time and we know most of the other shopkeepers on Beadon Street. It is a busy life, especially during the exam seasons when everyone is stressed out. We just provide a place for them to sit and study. It is a bit worn out around the edges, but it has a lot of character, just like the rest of North Kolkata.
