Rokte Amar Mohun Bagan Foundation

We are based at 161 I.O.C. Road in the Muktapukur area of Talpukur. This is out in the 24 Pgs (N) district, and it is a place where everyone knows their neighbor. Our name reflects our local pride, but we are here for everyone in the community. The office is right on the road, so it gets quite dusty from the passing bikes and trucks. We don't have air conditioning, so we just keep the doors open and let the breeze in when there is one. It is a very basic setup with just the essentials. We spend our time listening to what the local families need. Sometimes it is a big issue and sometimes it is something small, but we try to help either way. We aren't a fancy organization from the city. We are just locals who grew up on these streets. You might see us sitting outside on plastic chairs having a chat with someone from the neighborhood. We don't have a big marketing strategy. We just rely on people knowing who we are and what we do. The paperwork can be a headache, and sometimes we run out of supplies, but we keep going. It is important to us to stay right here on I.O.C. Road where we can actually see the impact of what we do. It is just life in a small town, trying to make things better.
