Road-To-Road Foundation

Our office is at 214 Chittaranjan Avenue. If you know CR Avenue, you know how loud and busy it stays from morning until late at night. There is always a horn honking or someone shouting outside. We started this because we saw so many people on the roads who didn't have anyone looking out for them. It is just a small room in an old building. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint and the stairs are a bit steep for some. We don't have any fancy titles or big corporate goals. We just take it one day at a time. People come in from the street to ask for help or just to get out of the sun for a minute. We try to help with basic things that people need when they are struggling. It is not a clean or quiet job. We spend a lot of time out on the pavement ourselves. We don't have much of a budget, so we make do with what people give us. It is hard work and sometimes it feels like we aren't doing enough, but we stay anyway because the need is there. 214 is just a place where anyone can stop by if they are having a rough time on the road. We are just here to help our fellow citizens.
