Rebanta Steels Private Limited

You can find Rebanta Steels on the 9th floor of East India House, right on Abdul Hamid Street. It’s an old building with a lot of character, and sometimes the elevators are a bit temperamental. Being at 20B means we are right in the heart of a very busy area. Downstairs, the streets are always crowded with people and food stalls. Up here, we handle the administrative side of the steel business. It’s a lot of talking to suppliers and trying to find the best routes for transport. Our office is functional, filled with files and old ledgers. We don't have much in the way of decoration. We focus on the numbers and the logistics. It gets pretty frantic around the end of the month when all the invoices need to be settled. We usually go out for tea in the afternoon to get a break from the screens. The air conditioning hums all day to keep the heat out. We deal with a lot of different clients, mostly over the phone or through email. It’s a mix of old-school business and modern tracking. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just run a straightforward operation from this floor. Sometimes you can hear the traffic from the street below even this high up. We just keep working through our lists until the day is done and the office closes.
