Out in the village of Bokra, near Post Raina in the Burdwan district, you’ll find us. We are part of the Rashmi Cement Is A Group Of Rashmi Cement, and our spot here is very much a rural setup. Vibekananda Samanta is where we are based. It’s a place filled with gray dust, heavy bags, and the sound of trucks coming and going. Cement is a tough business, and being out in the village means we deal with things like mud in the rainy season and extreme heat in the summer. We don't have fancy office chairs; we have wooden benches and a big desk for the logs. The workers are mostly from the surrounding areas. We spend our days checking the weight of the bags and making sure the loading is done right. It’s physical work. You won't find any marketing brochures or polished presentations here. We just know about cement and how to get it from here to the construction sites. The pace of life in Burdwan is a bit slower than the city, but the work at the plant doesn't stop. We drink our tea from small clay cups and talk about the harvest or the weather. It’s a basic, functional place. We are just people doing a job that involves a lot of lifting and a lot of dust. That’s the reality of Rashmi Cement in our little corner of the world.
