We are located in the Brahmapur area of Kolkata, at 2053 Ramkrishna Pally. If you are looking for us, we are near Ujjal Park. The office for Ramkrishna Pally Welfare Association is in a building called Santi Place. Specifically, we are on the 2nd floor in flat number S-3. It is a typical residential apartment that we use for our association work. Living and working in a flat means you get to know the neighbors pretty well. You hear the sounds of families and kids playing in the park nearby. It is a nice community feel. We don't have a grand entrance or a lobby. You just walk up the stairs and ring the bell. Inside, it looks like a regular home that has been turned into an office. There are some sofas for people to sit on while they wait. We spend a lot of time discussing local issues and how to manage the association. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We take things as they come. Being in Kolkata-700096, we are connected to the rest of the city but it still feels like its own little village. The flat gets a bit warm in the summer, so the ceiling fans are always on high. We have some folders stacked up and a calendar on the wall to keep track of meetings. It’s a very down-to-earth setup for people who care about their neighborhood.
