Our office is in the Sodepur Super Market, right on the first floor in Room 227. It is not a very big space, but it has enough room for our desks and all the files we keep. Being on Barasat Road in Kolkata 700110 means it is quite easy for people to find us, especially since we are so close to the Sodepur Railway Station. You can just walk over from the platform. The market gets very busy during the day, with a lot of noise and people moving about. We have been here for a while and have gotten used to the rhythm of the place. The stairs up to the first floor can be a bit crowded sometimes. Inside the room, we just focus on the consultancy work we have to do. We do not have any fancy decorations or soft carpets. It is just a plain workspace with a couple of fans that stay on all day to beat the heat. Sometimes the tea man from downstairs brings us some chai while we are sorting through paperwork. We know most of the other shopkeepers in the market. It feels like a small community. We just come in every morning, open the door, and get to work on whatever is on the desk. Most people who visit us are from the local area or nearby towns. We keep things simple and try to be helpful when someone walks in with a question.
