Prapti Hotel & Restaurant

We've been running Prapti Hotel & Restaurant for quite some time now over in the Motijhil area of Kolkata. Our building is Shove Plaza, right on the busy Jessore Road. If you are looking for us, we are right beside the Bank of India branch here in Motijhil. It is a noisy part of town with all the traffic going by, but that is just how it is in this city. Every morning we get started early, sweeping the front and getting the kitchen ready for the first few people who show up. Some folks come in for a room to stay a night or two, and others just want a meal because they are passing through on the way to the airport or further into the city. We don’t have fancy decorations or anything like that. The chairs are just regular chairs and the tables are what you would expect at a local spot. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud when it gets hot in the afternoons, but they do the job. We see a lot of the same faces every day, mostly people who work nearby or live around the corner. It is a lot of work keeping things clean and making sure everyone gets what they ordered without waiting too long. We just try to keep things moving along steadily. It isn't a big corporate chain, just a local business trying to stay busy and serve the neighborhood as well as we can. We just keep our heads down and do our work.
