Pramadaya India Foundation

If you’re ever down Kalikapur Road, you’ll find Pramadaya India Foundation at number 387. It’s a pretty standard building, nothing that really stands out from the rest of the shops and houses nearby. We like it that way because it makes us feel like part of the neighborhood. We started this because we felt like there was a gap that needed filling, and we had the space to do it. The work we do isn't always exciting. There is a lot of sitting around the table and figuring things out, but we stay at it. Some of the neighbors stop by to say hello or ask about what’s going on. We don't have a professional receptionist or anything; usually, whoever is closest to the door just answers it. The traffic on Kalikapur Road can get pretty loud in the afternoons, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We keep our records in old folders and try to stay on top of the local needs. It’s just us, a few chairs, and a desire to be part of the solution for whatever comes up. We don’t pretend to be anything more than a local group trying to help out where we can. It’s honest work, and it keeps us grounded. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and we don’t plan on going anywhere else soon.
