Prahari Aawas Foundation

We are based at 23 Gangadhar Babu Lane, specifically inside Imax Lohia Square. You have to come up to the second floor and look for Room No 2E. That’s where Prahari Aawas Foundation is located. The building is usually pretty busy with people coming and going from all the different offices. Our room is tucked away in a corner, which is nice because it’s a bit quieter than the main hallway. We have a few desks squeezed in there, and the walls are mostly covered with calendars and notes we’ve pinned up. It’s not a huge space, so we have to stay organized or things get lost. The light coming in from the window is a bit dim because of the neighboring buildings. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away on our old keyboards. Sometimes the elevator in Lohia Square gets stuck, so we end up taking the stairs. It’s a good way to wake up in the morning, I guess. We aren't big on formalities here. Most of us just wear comfortable clothes and get to work. There’s a tea vendor downstairs who knows us by name. It’s a practical location for us since it’s right in the 700012 zip code area. We don't have any fancy brochures or big displays. We just do the work that needs doing from our little room on the second floor. It suits us just fine.
