Praangshi Welfare Foundation

We are located at Dr. Parikshit Nandi’s place in Shyamsayar, which is in the North Burdwan part of Purba Bardhaman. It’s a quiet area and people mostly know each other by their first names. We are just a small welfare group, nothing too big or official-looking. We don’t have a corporate office or a staff of people in uniforms. It’s mostly just us and a few volunteers from around the neighborhood. We spend our time trying to help out with various things that people in the village struggle with. Sometimes it’s related to health because of where we are based, but we do a bit of everything. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. If you want to talk to us, you just come by and see if we’re around. We usually have some tea and sit in the shade to talk things over. It’s a bit slow-paced, but that is just how life is here in Burdwan. We don't use any complicated jargon. We just talk like regular people because that’s who we are. Our records are mostly kept in hand-written books. It’s not the most modern way to do things, but it works for what we need. We’re just a bunch of locals trying to lend a hand where we can. It’s honest, simple work that keeps us connected to the community.
