Plaspick Enterprises

Plaspick Enterprises is located in Kolkata. It is a city that never really stops, and our place is right in the middle of all that noise. We have a space filled with different goods and materials stacked up to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes. We use those manual hand trucks to move things around. The lighting is a bit yellow and dim in some of the corners. We have a small office with three desks squeezed together. The phone is an old landline that has a very loud ring. We handle a lot of orders for local people. Most of our days are spent counting items and checking lists. The heat in Kolkata can be brutal, so we go through a lot of water every day. There is a small window in the office that looks out onto a brick wall. We don't have any decorations, just some stacks of old ledgers and papers. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to sit and wait or use flashlights to see what we are doing. It is just part of living and working here. We know most of our regular visitors by their first names. It is a simple setup. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just show up, do the work, and go home when the sun goes down.
