You can find us at No. 129 Park Street, inside Berger House on the 5th floor. India Tyre & Rubber Co. India Ltd. has been around for a long time. We’re near Nuri Science Hospital, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find the building. Being on the 5th floor gives us a bit of a view, but mostly we’re looking at piles of inventory lists and order forms. The elevator in this building is a bit slow, so we often end up waiting in the lobby talking to the security guards. Our office has that old-school feel to it, with heavy wooden desks and filing cabinets that have been here since before I started. We deal with tyres and rubber products, which isn't the most exciting thing in the world, but it’s steady work. Park Street is always buzzing, and sometimes it’s hard to concentrate with all the noise from below. We have a small tea room where we take our breaks. Usually, it’s just the three or four of us here. We handle the distribution and the paperwork. It’s a lot of coordination with the warehouses. Sometimes things get mixed up, and we have to spend the afternoon on the phone sorting it out. We aren't a high-tech startup. We’re just a traditional company doing our job in a busy part of the city. We’ve been here for years and the routine keeps us going through the week. It’s just how we operate.
