Paramount Hotel

We are located on Free School Street, which is right in the heart of the Park Street area in Kolkata. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded and loud it gets at all hours. Our hotel is in an old building that has seen a lot of years. The hallways are a bit narrow and the stairs are worn down from all the feet that have climbed them. We don't have elevators or fancy carpets. It is just a basic place for people who need to stay in the center of the city without spending too much money. We get a lot of students, travelers on a budget, and people coming into Kolkata for business near Park Street. The street outside is always full of vendors, taxis honking, and people walking everywhere. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren't used to the city life. We spend our days changing sheets, sweeping the floors, and talking to people at the front desk. The rooms have high ceilings because of the old style of the building, but they are simple inside. We don't offer room service or anything like that. There are plenty of places to eat just outside our door, so we don't see the point. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes when we are full, but we just do our best to keep things organized and get everyone settled in their rooms for the night.
