Paliwal Electronics has been at 88 Church Tala in the Makhla Uttar Para area for a good while. We’re in the Hooghly district, and it’s a place where everyone kind of knows everyone. Our shop isn't anything fancy; it’s just a room full of components, old TV parts, and soldering irons. We spend our days fixing radios, televisions, and whatever other gadgets people bring in from the neighborhood. There’s usually a pile of things near the door waiting to be looked at. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. We just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes by. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so we have a couple of old fans that make a lot of noise. Sometimes we don't have the part we need, so we have to wait for the delivery, and that can take a few days. We’re honest with people about how long it will take. It’s a slow-paced kind of life here compared to the big cities, and we like it that way. Most of our regulars just stop by for a chat while we work. It’s a small business, run by people who just like tinkering with electronics and helping out the locals with their broken devices.
