Omaira Hotel

You can find us on the second floor of building B 33/H/4 along Mirza Ghalib Street. Most people around here still call it Free School Street. We are right in the middle of the Park Street area in Kolkata, which is always busy and loud. To get to us, you have to go up the stairs or use the small lift. It’s an old building, like most of the ones in this part of town. We have a few rooms for people who are passing through or staying for work. It’s a very basic setup. We don’t have a big lobby or a fancy entrance. The street outside is packed with vendors and people walking to the main road. Being on the second floor helps a little with the noise, but you can still hear the taxis honking. We’ve been running this place for a bit now. The rooms are simple and we try to keep them clean. It’s not a luxury hotel, just a place to sleep that’s close to the heart of the city. We do our own laundry and handle the bookings at the small desk near the door. It’s a hands-on kind of job for us. We see all kinds of travelers, from students to businessmen. We just provide a room and a key and let people go about their day. It is just a regular hotel for regular people.
