Nupur Educaton Centre

Nupur Education Centre is my small project located in Natagarh. We are very close to Kadamtala Bazar, which is a landmark everyone in this part of Kolkata knows. I have lived in the 700113 area my whole life, so setting up here felt like the right thing to do. The center isn't a big institution. It is just a couple of rooms where we help students with their lessons. I keep things very simple inside. There aren't any big signs or flashy posters on the walls. Most people find out about us from their neighbors or friends. I spend a lot of time organizing the books and making sure we have enough supplies for the week ahead. It is a very hands-on job for me. I am usually there before the first student arrives to open the windows and get the place ready for the day. The buzz from the market nearby is constant. Sometimes it is a bit distracting, but mostly it is just the normal sound of the neighborhood. We have some older furniture that has been around for years. It is sturdy and serves its purpose. I do not believe in spending money on fancy things when the focus should be on the books. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but most students do not mind. I try to be helpful to everyone who walks through the door. Running this place takes up most of my time.
