North Star Hotel

This hotel is located at 66/1 Dum Dum Road, though the official records sometimes call it No. 45 and 45/1. It’s an older building that has been part of the neighborhood for quite a while. We have rooms for people who need a place to stay near this busy road. It’s not the quietest spot because of the traffic outside, but it’s very convenient for getting around. The rooms are basic with just the essentials like a bed, a fan, and a bathroom. We spend most of our time keeping the place clean and answering the phone at the front desk. The lobby is small and usually has a few bags sitting there from guests checking in. We don't have a restaurant inside, but there are plenty of places to eat just a short walk away. The staff lives nearby, so we know the area very well. If a guest needs to know which bus to take, we can usually help them out. The stairs are a bit narrow, so we help people with their luggage when we can. It’s a modest operation run by just a few of us. We aren't a big chain hotel, just a local business trying to provide a service. Most of our guests are regulars who come back whenever they are in the city for work. We just try to keep things running smoothly and treat people fairly when they stay with us in Kolkata.
