Nirvaidh Welfare Foundation

Our small office for Nirvaidh Welfare Foundation is located in Jagatpur, Kolkata. We operate out of a space cared for by Sucharita Mukherjee. It’s a local neighborhood where everyone knows their neighbors’ business, for better or worse. We aren't some big, faceless entity. We’re just local people who decided to start something to help out where we live. Jagatpur has its own pace of life, and we fit right into that. Our office usually has a fan humming in the corner and a few plastic chairs for visitors. It’s a simple setup because we’d rather spend our time and resources on the actual work instead of fancy furniture. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy outside with the kids playing or the local vendors calling out, but we don't mind. It feels like home. We’ve been focusing on the small things that make a difference in people's lives here. It might be helping someone understand a form or organizing a small local gathering. We don't have a big marketing budget or any of that. Most people hear about us through word of mouth. If you’re around Jagatpur, you can usually find someone who can point you toward our door. We just take things one day at a time and try to be helpful whenever we can. It’s not a complicated life, but it keeps us busy and connected to the community. We are just a few folks trying to do some good.
