Lafarge India Ltd.

You can find our office situated in the DLF IT Park-1, specifically in Block- A1. We are right across the street from the New Coal India Office. It is a bit more of a modern setting than some other parts of town, but inside the doors of Lafarge India Ltd., it is still just a group of people working hard every day. We deal with cement and various other construction materials. Even though we are located in a fancy IT park, our actual business is very much about the grit and the dust of building things. We spend most of our hours coordinating with different factories and various transport companies to get things moving. It involves a lot of looking at spreadsheets and making endless phone calls. The air conditioning in this building is a nice perk, especially during the summer heat, but we still feel the stress when a big project is running behind schedule. We have a mix of younger employees and some older guys who have been in the cement trade for thirty years or more. It is a bit of a strange mix, but we make it work somehow. We don't do much in the way of fancy talk or marketing. We just need to know how many bags are being shipped and when they are going to arrive at the site. It’s just a regular office day for us, focused on the heavy materials that build the city.
