Nayan Welfare Foundation

Our office is set up over at Ramnagarchartuitipi, which is out in Gantra. Most people just look for Sasti Das’s place to find us. It’s a quiet spot, really. Nayan Welfare Foundation started because we saw things in our local area that needed a bit of attention. We aren't a big organization with a lot of funding or anything like that. It’s just a few neighbors and friends who wanted to do something practical for the folks living around here. The road to Gantra can be a bit dusty depending on the season, but it’s home. We spend a lot of our days just talking to people and seeing what’s going on in the community. Sometimes it feels like there’s more work than there are hours in the day, but we do what we can. We don't have a slick website or a front desk with a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting at a wooden table with a stack of papers. It’s honest work. Being tucked away in Brojogopal means we are right in the middle of where our neighbors live. We think that matters more than having a big office in the city. If you’re coming from the main road, just ask anyone for the way to the Ramnagar area. People around here know each other, which makes the work feel a lot more personal. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the local tasks.
