Narimilan Foundation

Narimilan Foundation is located in the Maheshganj area. If you’re looking for us, we are at Aseda Bawa’s house, in the Ostagar Para neighborhood of Tiorkhali. It’s a very local, family-oriented spot. We don’t have a fancy office with a receptionist. We just work from the house. We started this because we saw that women in our part of the district needed a place to connect and get support. We aren’t a big city foundation with lots of staff. It’s just a few of us who live right here in the village. We spend a lot of time sitting in the courtyard and talking to our neighbors. They come to us with all sorts of problems, and we try to help them find a way through. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we don’t have the money or the tools we need, but we try our best anyway. The house is always open, and there’s usually someone there to talk. We don’t have a big mission statement on the wall. We just live our lives and try to be useful to the people around us. It’s honest work, and it’s very personal for us. Maheshganj is where we belong, and this foundation is just part of our daily life now. We don’t need to sound corporate because we’re just real people. We also try to help the younger girls with their studies when they have exams.
