Modern Tutorial Home

We are located at 65 Canal Street. Modern Tutorial Home has been around for a while, though the name might sound more high-tech than we actually are. It is basically just a house turned into a place for extra help with studies. Canal Street is a long stretch, and we are tucked in among the other houses and small shops. I grew up in this area, so I know the shortcuts and the neighbors well. The rooms are filled with books and old chairs we’ve gathered over the years. It feels like a home because it mostly is. Students come by in the evenings after their regular school is done. We don't have a big team or fancy equipment. It is just a few of us who know our subjects well enough to explain them to the younger ones. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but the kids still show up. I usually sit near the entrance so I can see who is coming and going. It’s a quiet life, mostly spent explaining the same math problems or grammar rules. We don't do any big promotions. Word of mouth works best for us in this part of town. People trust us because they see us every day. It’s a honest way to earn a living while helping the kids in the neighborhood get through their exams. Most of the families here have known us for generations and that makes the work more meaningful.
