Misti Mahal

Misti Mahal is located at 14 A, Dum Dum Road, right in the Ghughudanga area. We’ve been running this sweet shop for a long time now. It’s a local place where we make everything in the back kitchen. If you’re walking along Dum Dum Road, you can usually smell the sweets being prepared. The shop isn't very big, just a counter and some glass cases to show what we’ve made that day. We start very early in the morning to get the milk and sugar going. It’s a busy road with lots of people going to and from the station, so we get a lot of foot traffic. We don't have any fancy branding or expensive displays. It’s just a simple shop with plain tiles and a few fans to keep things cool. We use basic boxes for packing and don't spend much on advertising. Most of our customers are neighbors who have been coming to us for years. Sometimes we have a long line during the holidays, and it gets a bit chaotic behind the counter. We might run out of the popular items early in the day because we only make a certain amount. The building is old and shows its age, but we like it that way. It’s a family business and we just focus on making things the way we always have. It’s a lot of work and long hours, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
