Metro Dairy Limited

In the morning, things start very early for us here at Metro Dairy Limited. We are located at Flat No 1H, Block A in Ganapati Park. It’s right on Krishnapur Road in Kolkata, so the area gets quite lively as the sun comes up. Most of what we do involves coordinating the milk supplies and making sure the crates are handled properly. The office is inside a residential block, which makes it feel a bit more like a home than a cold business space. We have people coming in and out constantly, checking on delivery routes or sorting out the accounts. Kolkata can be humid, and working with dairy means you have to be very careful with timing. We spend a lot of our day looking at schedules and talking to the drivers. Sometimes the traffic on Krishnapur Road makes things difficult, but we've learned to deal with the delays over the years. It’s a small team here, and we all know our roles. There is usually a radio playing in the background or someone making a fresh pot of tea in the corner. We don't have fancy brochures or a big marketing team. It’s just us making sure the milk gets to where it needs to go every single day. The flat gets a bit crowded with all the files and the noise of the fans, but we’re used to it. It’s a steady kind of life, even if the mornings are a bit of a rush.
