Amul

People around Saltlake City know this spot in Sector-III pretty well. We’ve been at Block-Ib, Plot 197 for a while now. It’s mostly just a lot of moving parts here every single day. Milk crates come in, people go out, and the trucks are always idling nearby. It gets pretty loud when the morning deliveries start, usually before most of the neighbors are even awake. We deal with all the dairy stuff you’d expect from the name Amul, but from inside this building, it’s mostly just logistics and making sure things aren't sitting out in the heat too long. The Kolkata weather isn't always kind to dairy, so we stay busy. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desks and the phone just keeps ringing while we’re trying to sort through the inventory lists. It’s not a fancy setup, just a practical office and storage space where we get the work done. You see the same faces every day, the drivers who know the routes by heart and the staff who’ve been here since the start. There’s a lot of tea drinking while we wait for the next load to arrive. It’s just how it goes here. We don’t spend much time worrying about the decor or anything like that. As long as the lights are on and the coolers are running, we’re doing alright. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when the new stock arrives, but we manage to find space.
