Mechon Consulting Llp is located at BK-156 in Sector-2 of Salt Lake, Kolkata. If you know the layout of Salt Lake, you know it’s all divided into these blocks and sectors, and we are right in the middle of one. It is a much more organized area than the rest of the city, with wider streets and a bit more greenery around. Our office is in a residential-style building that has been converted for business use. It’s a quiet place to work, which is good for consulting because we need to think and crunch numbers without too much noise. We have a few rooms filled with desks and computers. There isn't any flashy signage out front, just a small plate with our name on it. Most of the time, the office is filled with the sound of typing and the occasional meeting. We spend a lot of time on research and giving advice to our clients. Salt Lake is a nice place to be based because it is relatively clean and there are good places to eat nearby during lunch breaks. We don't really do the whole corporate suit-and-tie thing unless it is absolutely necessary. Usually, we are just in our regular clothes, working through our checklists and making sure we haven't missed any details. It is a practical, no-nonsense environment where we just focus on doing a decent job every day. We try to keep things simple and avoid unnecessary drama.
