Our office is at 36A Bentinck Street in Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city, and the building reflects that. MAP5 Hospitality SPV LLP is based right here, where the streets are narrow and the buildings are packed together. Bentinck Street has a specific feel to it—lots of shops and people everywhere. We are tucked away in our space, focusing on the hospitality business. It’s not a polished corporate office. We have old wooden desks and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. Most of our day is spent talking to partners and managing the details of our projects. It’s a lot of logistical work. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for a while. We know the rhythm of the street outside, from the morning rush to the quietest it gets in the evening. Kolkata is a city that never really stops, and we are right in the middle of it. We aren't looking to impress anyone with a fancy address or expensive furniture. We just want to get the work done and keep our projects moving forward. It’s a bit messy sometimes, and the heat in the summer can be tough, but we stay focused on the task. We are just regular people trying to build something here in the city.
