Our office is located at 48 Canning Street, right in the heart of the busy market area of Kolkata. Being on the 5th floor in Room 512 gives us a bit of a break from the noise downstairs, but you can still hear the horns honking and the people shouting all day long. It is a crowded part of town, 700001, and getting to the building can be a real challenge with all the handcarts and people moving goods. Makco Consultants Llp has been based here because this is where the action is. The building itself is quite old and has a lot of history, like most things around here. Inside, it is just a simple setup with some desks and chairs. We spend our hours looking over documents and talking to people who drop by. It is not the kind of place with shiny glass walls or anything like that. We just focus on the work at hand. Sometimes the lift takes a while, so we end up taking the stairs if we are in a rush. It is a practical place to be if you want to be near the trade and the old shops. Most of us have worked in this area for years, so we are used to the pace of Canning Street. It is just how we operate. We keep things pretty straightforward and do not try to be something we are not. We are just here doing our bit in this corner of the city, day in and day out.
