We operate out of Duplex Number 5 in Biyani Nagar, right off Tukum Road in Chandrapur. This part of Maharashtra gets incredibly hot, especially in the summer months, so the office is mostly a place to stay out of the sun and get the paperwork done. We deal with the cement side of things for this region. It’s a duplex house converted into a workspace, so it has a bit of a homey feel even though we are talking about heavy industrial materials all day. There are stacks of files on the tables and a couple of ceiling fans that never stop spinning. We spend a lot of time talking to local builders and coordinating with the transport guys who bring the loads in. Chandrapur is known for its industries, so we fit right in with the local scene. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters by any means. We just have a few desks and a phone line that stays busy. Most of the people who work here are locals who know the roads and the sites around town. We handle the orders as they come in and try to make sure nothing gets stuck in transit. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We don’t spend much on decor or anything like that because we’re usually too busy keeping track of the inventory and the local accounts. It's just a normal workplace where things get done eventually.
