Maati Orgiveda Private Limited

We’re located at 26 Shakespeare Sarani, in the Dimple Court building. Maati Orgiveda Private Limited is up on the first floor here in Kolkata. It’s an old part of the city, and the building has a lot of character, even if the lift is a bit moody sometimes. We work on bringing together traditional ideas with modern organic products. It’s a bit of a mix, hence the name. The office is usually full of the smell of herbs and different oils we are testing out. We are a small team, mostly people who grew up around here and wanted to do something that felt a bit more grounded. We don’t have a big PR department or anything. We just write our own labels and pack things up ourselves mostly. Kolkata is a busy place, and being on Shakespeare Sarani means there’s always noise outside, but we’ve gotten used to it. We don't try to look more professional than we are. We are just people who like what we do and hope others like it too. Some days we are just chasing down suppliers and other days we are trying to figure out new recipes. It’s a lot of hands-on work. We don't use any scripts when people call us; we just talk like regular people. It's a simple business run by people who care about the little details and getting the orders right.
